Think of Hamilton & Company as a “little-big” design firm. We’re a firm of 7 people, but we have the capacity to compete with larger firms. We think our size is just right- small and personal, but big enough to tackle complex projects.
The nature of our company ensures that every project and client gets plenty of my personal attention. At the same time, you benefit from the efficiency of having your own dedicated manager. On larger projects, you’ll have an entire team at your disposal.
For most jobs, we use sophisticated 3-D software to design and create presentation drawings. This same software allows us to go straight from conceptual drawings into technical working drawings. For smaller jobs, it may be more economical to create hand-drafted drawings from start to finish. We can do that too.
During the design phase of your project, we will work closely with you to find a design that fits your needs, budget and tastes. We’ll also coordinate with any consultants (like surveyors and engineers) that you may need. If you’ve already selected a Contractor, we’ll include them in the design process- so they can help us keep an eye on your budget.

Once your project is ready for a building permit and final bidding, we’re happy to answer whatever questions come up during the process. Through construction, we’re available for job-site visits, phone consultations, office meetings…whatever you need, and (with a little advance planning) whenever you need it.
What kind and size of projects do we do? We’re flexible enough to do just about anything. Regardless of size, we apply the same high standards for quality to every undertaking. We can design residential remodels with modest budgets of $100K, as well as large mixed-use / commercial buildings of $15M and above. Within that range, we also design new homes, office tenant improvements, as well as retail and restaurant spaces. You will find that we are particularly adept at adaptive re-use and urban infill projects.
There’s no way I can cover everything here, so please feel free to give us a call and let us know how we can help you.
